Congratulations on your decision to adopt a rescued Boxer! We will make every attempt to keep you up-to-date on the status of your application but do feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at info@buckeyeboxer.info 
 
Buckeye Boxer Rescue does ask that you meet the following criteria prior to filling out an application: 
 
1. You must be a legal resident of the State of Ohio. At this time, there are no exceptions to this requirement. 
 
2. We do ask that you have a fenced yard or can clearly articulate why you do not 
 
3. Each Boxer has a description and will advise of requirements for that dog, please read the description carefully 
 
4. Current pets must be altered or we ask that you provide a medical explanation as to why this has not been possible 
 
Because we here at BBR are all volunteers, if you choose to ignore these requirements, we will not be able to respond to your application. Instead, we will concentrate our time more productively on our foster dogs and serious applicants. 
 
The first step in adopting a BBR Boxer is to fill out the lengthy application. Please understand that each question is asked for a reason. Any application that is not filled out in its entirety will not receive a response. After your application has been approved, we will contact your veterinarian and confirm the information you've provided. That's the end of the paper application! We will then contact you to set up a home visit of mutual convenience and you're on your way to adopting your Boxer. There is a typical adoption donation of $250.00 for each Boxer, however, that donation may be higher or lower dependent upon special circumstances.
