Volunteering

Buckeye Boxer Rescue is comprised solely of volunteer workers. Our members donate their own valuable time to assist the breed we love! Many of our volunteers have full-time jobs, children and very understanding spouses. If you'd like to volunteer we have many opportunities. Having a home computer is an asset but not a requirement. 
 
Application processing: assist the Director in screening applications from potential adopters 

Reference checks: phone veterinarians to confirm the information provided in the application 

Home visits: conduct home visits of potential foster and/or adoptive families 

Web maintenance: Petfinder and 1800SaveAPet need to be kept up to date 

Meet-n-Greets: from time to time we attend festivals, fairs, picnics, etc. to promote the rescue 

Fund Raising and Grant Writing: persons skilled in either are a great asset
